Francisco Plantation this is how it all got started
We are a family owned business that kinda got into poultry by accident. Bill is a retired college professor from Georgia Southern University, He spent over 40 years in the cattle business. He found a passion as a part time cattle rancher in tending to animal needs. After he retired from teaching he said it was time to give up the cattle business as well so he sold his cattle and planted his land in pine trees. His thought was he would terrorize the local fish and his golfing buddies. As things turned out he found that the local fish weren't really afraid of him and wouldn't bite and he also realized he was never very good at golf to start with. He just thought he wanted to figure out something to do. He realized that sitting on the couch and watching daytime TV was not his passion. So he thought he'd pick up a couple of ducks and a couple of chickens and watch the ducks swim around in the pond and he needed a few chicken eggs.
What got him hooked into the poultry business was that first incubator. He found a passion for incubating eggs and watching the little ducks and chicks and quail hatch. The problem was he was being overun with chicken and quail and ducks not to mention egg overload. So he started selling chickens and ducks and quail and when some didn't get sold he kept them around and raised them up for brood stock. So then he had more eggs than he needed and so he bought more incubators and incubated more eggs. I guess you know the end of the story now, when you have a bunch of eggs and a bunch of chickens and a bunch of ducks and a bunch of quail you need to be in the poultry business. That is if you enjoy being in the poultry business which he does. If you know anything about chicken math this all pefectly logical.
